The Saudi Foreign Ministry welcomed the decision of the Kurdistan Regional Government to accept dialogue with the federal government under the umbrella of the Iraqi constitution.
"The Kingdom is following with great interest developments in the brotherly Republic of Iraq, and welcomes the decision of the Kurdistan government to accept dialogue with the Iraqi government under the umbrella of the Iraqi constitution and the decisions of the federal government."
She added that "the Kingdom renewed its position in support of resolving outstanding issues through dialogue between the parties within the Iraqi constitution, to avoid" the loss of life and preserve Iraq's national unity and territorial integrity, independence and sovereignty on its territory. "
