The ratification of the Convention for the Protection of the Iraqi Jordanian investment and acceptance of the Japanese loan of 210 million dollars

Tomorrow's Press / Baghdad: The government has decided, on Tuesday, Almassaqh the draft law on ratification agreement to encourage and protect investment between Iraq and Jordan, as agreed to accept the loan from the Japanese government of 210 million dollars over 15 years.
The Prime Minister's Office said in a statement received "tomorrow Press", "The Council of Ministers held its 11th regular headed by Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki and decided to approve the draft law on ratification of agreement on the encouragement and protection of investment between Iraq and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, signed in Baghdad on the (25 December for the past 2013) and referred to the House of Representatives, according to the provisions of Articles (61 / item first) and (80 / item II) of the Constitution. "
The statement added that "the Council decided to accept the loan from the Japanese government to the Republic of Iraq on concessional terms through the Japanese Agency for International Cooperation (JICA) and the amount of $ 210 million, over a 15 year period of grace five years at an interest rate (0.8 %) per annum. "
He pointed out that "the Council also decided to accept the offer for the rehabilitation of the fourth unit at the power station Hartha by Mitsubishi of Japan at a price of (153,000,000) dollars, only one hundred and fifty-three million dollars under the loan earlier, being a manufacturer of equipment for power station Hartha thermal previously.
The Iraqi Council of Ministers held its regular weekly, headed by Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki and the presence of all the ministers, to take several decisions concerning the institutions and departments of the government, as well as decisions concerning the country and its links with neighboring countries and the world.
