Military sources revealed the imminent start of the work of a joint Iraqi-American military committee, to develop a mechanism for implementing the outcomes of the last round of strategic dialogue between Baghdad and Washington.
A high-ranking officer in the Joint Iraqi Operations Command suggested the arrival of US soldiers during the coming period, to set up a mechanism for implementing the agreement to withdraw combat forces from the country at the end of this year.
He said that the agreement requires that a joint military and security committee between the two parties activate the withdrawal mechanism, which will be in the form of meals, and this includes offensive combat equipment and weapons, revealing that the map of the military deployment of the coalition and NATO forces will not change.[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
