Association of Private Banks revealed today, Saturday, the most prominent works carried out to rehabilitate and develop Al-Mutanabi Street, which will be reopened today, as well as its current and future projects. The Executive Director of the Association of Private Banks, Ali Tariq Al-Mustaf, said, in a statement to the Iraqi News Agency (INA), during the reopening ceremony of Al-Mutanabi Street, that "the restoration and rehabilitation of the street was financed by private banks and the Community Initiatives Fund supervised by the Central Bank." He added, "The works on the street lasted for five months and were related to the infrastructure of electricity, the replacement of floors and building facades, and cosmetic works for shops with lighting and lanterns, and work was done not to prejudice the heritage character of the street, but rather to strengthen it with works."
