Today, Thursday, Trade Minister Atheer Al-Ghurairi confirmed that the joint economic and trade committee with Turkey will work to remove obstacles facing Iraqi and Turkish merchants .
Al-Ghurairi said in a statement to the official media, followed by “Mail”, that “Iraq formed a joint economic and trade committee with Turkey, in addition to signing many memorandums of understanding between ministers and heads of bodies in the two countries .”
He added, "The visit of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is a good start for the trade relationship between Iraq and Turkey," pointing out that "the Economic and Trade Committee is a legal framework to overcome all obstacles facing Iraqi and Turkish merchants ."
He stated that "the members of the joint committee from the public sector focus on the commercial sector to be the backbone of the relationship between the two countries .
