On Thursday, the Ministry of Oil announced the opening of a new port for liquid gas for vehicles in Baghdad.
The Undersecretary for Gas Affairs, Izzat Saber, said in a statement, seen by Al-Iqtisad News, that “the Al-Samoud Model Port Project was opened in Baghdad to supply liquid gas to vehicles, in addition to the opening of a workshop to add a liquid gas system,” noting that “it is an important step towards... Increasing outlets for supplying liquid gas to vehicles and workshops for adding gas systems to keep pace with the increasing amounts of consumption of liquid gas, which is witnessing an increase in the number of vehicles that use the gas system and the amount of gas consumption.”
He added, "These projects are among the largest projects in the liquid gas sector in Iraq," pointing out that "the Al-Samoud Model Workshop Project to add liquid gas systems to cars
For his part, Director General of the General Company for Gas Filling and Services, Anmar Ali Hussein, said, “The project was implemented by the General Company for Gas Filling and Services in terms of engineering and technical designs and shapes, leading to the operation process in the workshop and the port, while adopting the highest safety standards in completing this project and entering it into space.” the job".
He added, "This model project aims to provide the best services to citizens in the liquid gas sector."
He explained, "This project is among the projects implemented at the southern entrance to the capital."
Hussein pointed out that "outlets supplying gas fuel for vehicles adopt the prescribed price of (200) dinars per liter."
