The Customs Authority, in cooperation with the United Nations' global Scuda team, has started the introduction of an automation system in customs work. This step came to reduce corruption and facilitate the completion of auditors' transactions.
A customs statement stated that "Iraq has recently joined more than eighty Arab and foreign countries that have introduced an automation system for customs work, as the Customs Authority contracted with the international team of the UN Scuda project to launch the first phase by activating the electronic system within the authority." Corruption operations in customs work The automation system has been introduced and one of the most important basics that the authority will work with by including all information and data in the automation system, which is characterized by the difficulty of penetration.
