The Border Ports Authority announced, today, Saturday, that the Trebil port has started applying the customs and tax receipt verification program electronically.
The authority said, "According to the directives of the head of the Border Ports Authority, Major General Dr. Omar Adnan Al-Waeli, the Trebil border port has started applying the customs and tax receipt verification program in an electronic way to prevent fraud or manipulation of customs and tax receipts for transactions in a way that guarantees the collection of real funds for the state and prevents waste of public money."
In a statement received by Mawazine News, the authority added, "At the same time, the Border Ports Authority, in cooperation with the General Authority of Customs and the General Tax Authority, continues to activate the program at the rest of the border crossings (land, sea and air)."
And she continued, "The program is currently implemented in the outlets (Mandali, Al-Mandhari, Shalamcheh, Safwan and Umm Qasr Al-Awsat) and there is a great and real will to develop electronic work, and that these procedures come from the government's orientation towards electronic governance and with direct follow-up by the Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers (head of the Diwani Order Committee). 22 of 2020).
