Shafaq News / The activities of the first international exhibition for construction and reconstruction were launched in Sulaymaniyah today, with the participation of local and foreign companies, and while the governor of Sulaymaniyah confirmed readiness for development in all fields, he called on the region's neighbors to increase cooperation and civil tourism instead of using artillery and warplanes.
Shafak News Agency correspondent said that the activities of the first international exhibition (CHP) for construction, electricity and structures in Sulaymaniyah were launched with the participation of 122 local companies and seven countries and foreigners, and it was inaugurated by the Governor of Sulaymaniyah, Hefal Abu Bakr, with the participation of the Governor of Halabja, the Iranian Consul and commercial figures.
In his speech on behalf of the province of Sulaymaniyah, the Sulaymaniyah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Kurdistan Investors Union and the Union of Exporters and Importers in Kurdistan, the governor of Sulaymaniyah made a "presentation of the industrial environment and industrial development in Sulaymaniyah and the Kurdistan Region," noting that "Sulaymaniyah is qualified for any urban, economic and commercial progress."
Abu Bakr added that "the level of trade exchange between Sulaimaniyah and Iran has increased with the cooperation of the two sides," calling on neighbors to "increase cooperation and civilian tourism instead of artillery and warplanes."
For his part, Mullah Yassin Mahmoud, spokesman for the Kurdistan Investors Union, said in a speech during his participation in the exhibition that "Sulaimaniyah governorate is important for the economy of the entire Kurdistan Region, but unfortunately the Kurdistan Regional Government and the relevant ministries are weak and cold in managing this file."
