Al-Salami said in an interview with the Maalouma Agency, “The Prime Minister pledged to conduct a comprehensive government evaluation within a period of six months from the formation of the government.”
He added, "Al-Sudani has not sent the report on the ministers' performance to Parliament yet," noting that "evaluating government performance has become an integral part of the vision of the legislative authority."
Al-Salami pointed out that “there are observations about the performance of some ministers,” explaining that “some ministers provided a good level of performance while others failed.”
Independent MP Alaa Al-Haidari had previously confirmed that “there is a clear failure in the performance of some ministers and they will be held accountable.” Pointing out that the authority of the members of the House of Representatives is limited to the issue of oversight and follow-up.
