Today, Wednesday, November 1, 2023, the Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government, Masrour Barzani, received the new Canadian Ambassador to Iraq, Cathy Bonka.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Prime Minister congratulated the Canadian ambassador on her assuming her duties, and expressed his wishes for her success. He also expressed his full support for strengthening relations between Canada and the Kurdistan Region.[/size]

[size=45]The meeting also discussed the importance of ensuring the constitutional rights of the Kurdistan Region and strengthening the federal system in Iraq. Combating the negative impacts resulting from climate change was also discussed, while benefiting from the Canadian experience in this regard.[/size]
