Today, Thursday, Independent Representative Hadi Al-Salami described the government’s withdrawal of laws that he described as “critical” without returning them to the House of Representatives, as a confusing issue for the work of the legislative authority.
Al-Salami said in a press statement, “The government has not yet formed committees to review these laws and adapt them according to what it deems appropriate, as the laws that were withdrawn are important and were proposed for legislation in the House of Representatives during its current session.”
He promised that “its withdrawal had a negative impact on the work of the Council, noting that “more than 450 days have passed since the government withdrew many laws, which affected the interests of the Iraqi people.” Al-
Salami revealed the laws that the government withdrew from the House of Representatives, which are “the draft service law.” The Federal Civil Code, addressing residential encroachments, the Second Amendment Law on Roads, the draft Reconstruction Council Law, the draft Law on the First Amendment to the National Oil Company Law, the amendment to the Companies Law, the First Amendment to the Martyrs Foundation Law, the draft Science Service Law, and the draft law regulating wages for services in centrally funded state departments. The draft first amendment to the Census Law, the draft law on partnership between the public and private sectors, the draft law on the Communications and Media Commission, the draft law on the Ministry of Electricity, the draft cybercrime law, the draft law regulating the rights of victims of Ibn al-Khatib Hospital, the draft law amending the landlords law, and the draft communications and information law, And the draft law of the Ministry of Communications.
