President of the Federal Court: It is not permissible to force anyone to join any party, and the political process must be kept away from quotas

{Politics: Al-Furat News} Federal Court President Judge Jassem Al-Amiri said that “no one may be forced to join any political party or entity.”
Al-Amiri stated in a press statement that “the election law is the basis of true parliamentary representation that expresses the spirit of the constitution.”
He stressed, "The House of Representatives must be a true expression of the will of the people," noting that "representation of the will of the people is achieved when legislating an electoral law in accordance with constitutional demands."
Al-Amiri stressed "the necessity of distancing the political process from sectarian or national quotas," noting that "the democratic process in Iraq is based on the application of the principle of periodic elections."
