    On Thursday, Chairman of the Parliamentary Agriculture, Water and Marshlands Committee, Faleh Al-Khazali, called on the government to take advantage of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s visit to Baghdad to end the water crisis.
    Al-Khazali told Mawazine News, "The volume of trade exchange with Turkey exceeds 24 billion dollars, at a time when 600 Turkish investment companies are operating in Iraq."
    He added, "The government should take advantage of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's visit to Baghdad to end the water crisis and raise the issue of continuing trade exchange with the two countries."
    He pointed out that "Turkey is waging a 'water war' against Iraq," noting that "the water file will be included in all files of discussion with Turkey.
