    WASHINGTON, March 21 (Reuters) - Prime Minister Haidar al-Abadi said his country's relations with Saudi Arabia had become warmer, stressing openness to good neighborly relations with Saudi Arabia.
    On the sidelines of his meeting with US President Donald Trump in the White House, Abadi said that his country received guarantees to accelerate efforts to eliminate the call to fight terrorism.
    Abadi thanked Trump for lifting Iraq's travel ban on citizens of several Muslim-majority countries and said he was seeking stronger cooperation in the fight against a hardline militant.
    The two leaders met at the White House for the first time since Trump took power on Jan. 20.
    "I thank you for lifting the name of Iraq from the presidential order, which was issued previously, and this means in response to the Iraqi request and also strengthen the relationship with Iraq and the value of Iraq for Iraqi-American relations."
    Trump told Abadi that he knew that Iraqi forces were fighting fiercely against a thief. [1]

    {Baghdad: Euphrates News} Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi confirmed obtain assurances during his visit to Washington that the US support for Iraq would be faster than the previous pace.
