    Looking Iraq Multi revive the Silk Road through its participation in the ministerial meeting of the General Assembly of the World Tourism Organization to be held in the Victoria Falls on the border between the states of Zambia and Zimbabwe on Saturday.

    Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, Dr. Brigade Sumaisem told (Center Brief for the Iraqi Media Network): The ministry will high-level delegation includes Senior Advisor at the Ministry Bahaa Mayah and director of the Department of aggregates tourist Mahmoud al-Zubaidi in the ministerial meeting of the General Assembly of the World Tourism Organization to be held in Victoria Falls Day Saturday and lasts for six days.

    He added that Iraq is among the 156 countries participating in the meeting, noting that the Iraqi delegation during the meeting will discuss the subject of the revival of the Silk Road the fact that Iraq is located on the southern tip of it.

    For his part, Director of Relations and Information in the Ministry of Tourism Qasim Tahir Sudan's (Center Brief for the Iraqi Media Network): The ministerial meeting will discuss the various files, most notably the development of the tourism and promote and develop programs effective for the development of tourism in developing countries, pointing out that the Iraqi delegation will present a strategy for the advancement of the tourism aspect and ways of cooperation with other countries and the World Tourism Organization.

    He said the ministry recently participated official delegation headed by the Director of the Department aggregates tourism in the Third International Meeting of the Silk Road, which was held under the auspices of the World Tourism Organization in cooperation with the National Tourism Administration of China, noting that the goal of the meeting was to provide working papers to revive this road, as it gave the Iraqi delegation and paper work during the meeting included the display aspects of tourism in Iraq, particularly archaeological, religious and submitted proposals to develop a trademark of this road and to facilitate the procedures for granting visas of tourists between the countries, noting that Iraq submitted a formal proposal to host one of the special meetings Silk Road in order to open prospects for Iraq tourism with other countries.

    It is intended to "Silk Road" line of land transportation old extending from China and across western and northern China and all of Asia to the nearby areas of Africa and Europe and contains two tracks, one north and one south, and by the way they conducted exchanges wide-ranging in terms of politics, economy and culture between the different regions and nationalities.

    I would have to wonder if this path was more dangerous for Marco Pollo, or for todays travelers...
