    Pyongyang
North Korea will continue to develop weapons
North Korea on Sunday rejected recent UN sanctions against its citizens and institutions and vowed to continue developing anti-aircraft weapons, according to the North Korean Central News Agency. The UN Security Council has expanded sanctions against North Korea last Friday after repeated missile tests conducted by Pyongyang, the agency said, citing Pyongyang's "total rejection" of the latest UN sanctions against its citizens and institutions.
The resolution is the first of its kind approved by the United States and China, North Korea's only ally, since US President Donald Trump took office.

    Ankara
Yildirim: Battle of the tenderness of tenderness began
Turkish Prime Minister Ben Ali Yildirim said yesterday that the process of tenderness, which he planned for a long time began on June 2 and has provided us
The United States with the necessary information before the operation
This contrasts with statements made by the Syrian Democratic Forces, a coalition of Arab and Kurdish factions backed by Washington, which confirmed on Saturday that it would begin "within days" battle for control of tenderness.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan warned the United States that his country would not participate in the process of restoring Al-Raqqa, a stronghold of the organization "Daqash" in Syria, along with Kurdish forces.
Washington supports units to protect the Kurdish people, a key component of Syria's democratic forces.
During his meeting with reporters on Saturday night, the Turkish prime minister stressed that his country would not hesitate to engage militarily more abroad without giving further details. "Whether inside or outside the country, we will not hesitate to take the necessary measures for the security of our country and our people," he said. "We have done this in the past, and if necessary we will do it again," he said.

Bahrain stops publication of newspaper supporting opposition
The authorities have suspended Al-Wasat, the only independent newspaper in the kingdom, indefinitely because of an article that includes "the abuse of one of the brotherly Arab countries," the official Bahrain News Agency (BNA) said on Sunday.
This is the second time this year that Bahrain has stopped issuing Al-Wasat daily newspaper.
Al Wasat is linked to the Shi'ite-led opposition, which has been facing a campaign by the Sunni-led government since last year.
The ministry said that the Ministry of Information Affairs decided to "stop the issuance and circulation of Al-Wasat newspaper until further notice." The ministry said the newspaper "repeated the dissemination and broadcast of what divides the community and affects the relations of the Kingdom of Bahrain with other countries."
She added that the decision came to publish an article in the Sunday edition that includes "the abuse of one of the sister Arab countries." But it did not specify the state or provide further details.

    Damascus
Assad: "The worst is behind us"
Syrian President Bashar al-Assad has said that "the worst is behind us" in the war that has been taking place in his country for six years, after advancing his forces on several fronts with the support of Russia and the Iranian militias.
In recent months, Syrian and allied forces have regained areas across the country, including Aleppo, which regained control in December after years of fighting.
"Things are moving in the right direction, which is a better direction, because we are defeating terrorists," Assad said in an interview with the Indian television channel WOIN in Damascus.
"Unless the West and other countries and their allies and puppets offer tremendous support to these extremists, I am sure that the worst is behind us," he said.
More than 320,000 people have been killed in Syria since the outbreak of the conflict in March 2011.
