High unemployment rate in Jordan
The figures and statistical data issued by the Department of Statistics on the basis of the Labor Force Survey indicate that the total unemployment rate for the year 2016 increased by 1.6% compared to the same period of 2000, which was 13.7%, reaching 15.3% in 2016.
As for the male unemployment rate, it increased by 1%, in 2016 it was about 13.3%, compared to 12.3% in 2000.
For females, the unemployment rate increased by 3.1% in 2016 compared to 2000, where it was 21.0% in 2000 and 24.1% in 2016.
