    Release date: 2017/8/27

{International: Euphrates News} The Russian Defense Ministry announced the elimination of a large group of gangs of terrorist advocates in the outskirts of the city, "Ghanem Ali" in the Euphrates River valley in Syria.
"The Syrian forces managed to liquidate more than 800 terrorists, destroy 13 tanks, 39 vehicles with heavy machine guns and 9 mortars," a ministry statement said today.
"The Syrian forces, led by Brig. Suhail Hassan, continue at high altitudes along the eastern bank of the Euphrates to lift the siege of Deir al-Zour," he said.
It is noteworthy that the province of Deir al-Zour remains the largest strongholds of gangs in Syria, and launched the Syrian leadership campaign to liberate, after the completion of government forces successes in the provinces of Homs and Raqqa, especially the restoration of the city of Sokhna, the last strongholds of terrorists in the province of Homs.
The Russian Defense Ministry has stressed more than once the importance of the battle of Deir al-Zour, explaining that the liberation of the province will mean the roll back of gangs in Syria.
