Is there a legal impediment to eating "human meat" in Iraq?
BAGHDAD (Reuters) - Iraq has a law banning the use of "human meat" in the country, legal expert Abbas al-Ali said on Tuesday.
"Iraq already has a law banning the consumption of human meat in the country," al-Ali told Iraq News. "The ban came within the framework of the health safety law and not within the Iraqi penal code."
"The law did not specify the prohibition of human meat in particular, but it included all threats to health safety, such as trading donkey meat or contaminated chicken eggs," the legal expert said.
It is noteworthy that cases of "human meat" is still happening in some countries of the world and in a very secret, while some countries suffer from the absence of a law to criminalize and prevent addressing. Finished 2
