    An Armenian official revealed on Monday that while Armenia relies on imports only in securing its energy resources, Iraq can become one of our best partners in this field. 
    Armenian Minister of Local Administration and Development David Lukyan said during his attendance at the fourth session of the Joint Armenian-Iraqi Economic, Commercial, Scientific and Technical Cooperation Committee between the two countries held in the Armenian capital of Yerevan that Iraq is expected to become one of Armenia's most important partners in providing energy resources. 
    Lukyan added that Iraq is a friend of Armenia and bilateral relations have developed greatly in recent years.
    "The Armenian and Iraqi governments look forward to strengthening the economic and trade cooperation between the two countries. The Armenian government will also facilitate the granting of visas to several countries, including Iraq, where we will discuss this issue at the meeting," he said. On the other hand, the Armenian minister pointed out that Armenia is well developed in the field of technology and information technology, and that there is wide scope for cooperation with the Iraqi side in this sector.
