[rtl]The United States has expressed concern over Saudi Arabia's agreement to buy Russian missile defense systems.[/rtl]
[rtl]"We are concerned about the purchase of some of our allies for the S-400 system," US Defense Department spokeswoman Michele Baldenza told a news conference on Thursday night.[/rtl]
[rtl]"We have repeatedly stressed the importance of maintaining the operational compatibility of Allied systems with the weapons systems of the United States and other countries in the region during the implementation of major military deals for the purchase of weapons."[/rtl]
[rtl]The comments came in response to Saudi Arabia's announcement of a deal with Russia on the purchase of a number of S-400 missile systems.[/rtl]
