The Israeli Defense Minister, "Avigdor Lieberman," that the Lebanese army, lost its independence, and became "an integral part of the system of Hezbollah."
According to the website of the Israeli daily Yedioth Ahronoth, Lieberman spoke to Israeli soldiers at the Defense Ministry headquarters in Tel Aviv on the occasion of the Jewish "Throne" holiday.
"The Lebanese army has lost its independence and has become an integral part of the Hezbollah system," Lieberman said.
"The next war in the north will be on one front, Syria and Lebanon together. We are not talking about Hezbollah alone, Hezbollah, the Assad regime, the Assad regime and the Lebanese army," he said.
The newspaper quoted "Lieberman" as saying: "We must prepare for every possible scenario," adding that the new realities "pose new challenges to us."
He added: "I want our enemies on the other side to reflect on any step they take against the State of Israel, so that we do not have to use all our strength and all our capabilities."
"We are directing most of our efforts to prevent a new war, but in the new Middle East, the estimates we previously knew, such as the meager possibility, are simply irrelevant. Everything can change from moment to moment and from day to day."
"Everything must be based on the fact that we have to be prepared for serious maneuver and there is no maneuver without strong fire," he concluded.
