The head of the Finance Committee in the French Parliament Nathalie Goli described Trump's remarks about Iran as "a historic mistake based on misunderstanding and lack of knowledge of what is important for peace and regional stability."
"The US president's policy toward the Iranian nuclear file is caused by misunderstandings and his faulty decision is based on misunderstanding and lack of knowledge of what is important for regional peace and stability," Guli said in a press release.
"These statements are contrary to the historical view of former US presidents Bill Clinton and Barack Obama, and make the United States blind and selfish," she said.
For his part, Iranian President Rohani said that "the violation of the nuclear agreement is harming the security and stability of the region and the world," noting that "relations between Iran and Europe developed in the post-nuclear agreement
"There is no doubt that history, the peoples of the world and America will better judge the future that the path chosen by the current US officials is wrong and useless, especially as Iran has cooperated with the IAEA and will continue to do so," he said.
