BAGHDAD (Reuters
) - The Iraqi parliament's legal committee said on Tuesday that a "constitutional perjury" clause on the speaker of parliament and ministers would be put forward in the coming days.
The MP said the committee, "Ibtisam al-Hilali," that "the Iraqi constitution in which a lot of things that have been overlooked on the ground," adding that "the Constitution provides for the dismissal and trial of the President of the Republic if violated right."
She pointed out that "the Constitution did not refer to the violation of the President of Parliament and the ministers and deputies, the constitutional right," pointing out that "the Committee to amend the Constitution and its paragraphs responsible for adding a paragraph" perjury "to address the violation of Kurdish deputies and the President of the Republic right.
Hilali pointed out that "the parliament is going to put forward this project in the coming days."
