The Guardian published an article by Jennifer Rankin saying the EU was under increasing pressure from members of the European Parliament to ban arms sales to Saudi Arabia in response to its bombing of Yemen.
She adds that the leaders of four political groups in the European Parliament have called on EU foreign policy chief Federica Mujerini to call for a ban on the sale of Saudi arms because of the war in Yemen, which left 20 million people in need of humanitarian aid.
