Iraq seeks to refine one million barrels of crude oil

The Ministry of Oil announced on Wednesday that it seeks to reach the refining of one million barrels per day of crude oil, noting that the ministry continues to install refining units in most refineries of the country.
"The Ministry of Oil is seeking to refine one million barrels per day of crude oil by adopting refineries to reach self-sufficiency," said senior ministry official Fayad Hassan Nema in an interview with the official Sabah newspaper.
"Iraq now repeats nearly 600,000 barrels per day (bpd), a 35 percent deficit for gasoline and kazuel," he said.
He pointed out that "the ministry will continue to build large reservoir warehouses throughout the country in Faw, Maysan, Rumaila, Zubayr and Nasiriyah." He added that the ministry will continue to install refining units in most of the country's refineries, in addition to directly implementing some of them through the ministry's staff. Ending / 25
