    The Higher Agricultural Committee in the province of Dhi Qar on Monday (January 15, 2018) revealed a number of measures to avoid the infection of avian influenza, after the registration of a number of cases of the disease in neighboring countries, while confirmed the absence of the province of injuries, indicated the alert staff of the veterinary hospital and police forces To investigate the disease in the fields of poultry and birds coming to the province.
    The head of the Higher Agricultural Committee, the first deputy governor of Dhi Qar Adel al-Dakhili for the extent that "the province's management directed the staff of the veterinary hospital and the police leadership of Dhi Qar to raise the utmost caution and precaution and to monitor and investigate the disease of bird Hvrvh type H5N8." 
    He said that "the registration of bird flu cases in a number of neighboring countries called for strict control measures by the Veterinary Hospital and the police command on the movement of poultry and its products and that the entry is reinforced by a veterinary health certificate." 
    "The province of Dhi Qar has not recorded any case of the disease so far, and the investigation is continuing in the fields of poultry and domestic birds and shops selling poultry and birds in the local markets using rapid inspection devices."
    Noting that the measures taken by the province are currently precautionary measures to avoid transmission of the disease to the province, after the registration of cases of bird flu in neighboring countries. 
    Al-Dakhili pointed to a number of measures taken by the province, including tightening control measures on the movement of poultry and poultry and its products between governorates and cities, and reporting on suspected cases immediately to take the necessary measures, as well as the requirement to obtain veterinary certificate for poultry coming to the province. 
    Noting that precautionary measures include determining the time of entry of poultry trucks and subjecting them to the medical examination of the site before entering the border crossings of the province and intensify the inspection rounds on the poultry fields to ensure that no injuries.
    Stressing the importance of cooperation of the Veterinary Hospital and the Directorate of Dhi Qar in the conduct of medical examination on poultry by veterinarians and to ensure the existence of medical examination certificate. " 
    Bird flu is a disease transmitted by migratory birds during the season, which is witnessing an intensive migration of birds to Iraq where our country is located on the progress of migrant birds line.
