[ltr]The Iraqi Ministry of Transport announced on Wednesday that the Iraqi Airways Company has recovered over one million dollars from one of its general agents two years after its payment was delayed.[/ltr]
[ltr]The company's director, Miran Farid, said in a statement that "the company's management and on the instructions of the Minister of Transport Kazem Al-Hamami adopted a comprehensive plan of action to control the company's funds with its general agents by obliging the agents to pay the amounts incurred during the period The maximum of the first week of each month and in case of failure of the agent will stop the system of booking and issuing tickets for him.[/ltr]
[ltr]"Among the other measures related to the general agents are the equivalent of those who are distinguished among them," the statement said.[/ltr]
[ltr]The central booking and direct booking offices have recorded a significant increase in booking and issuance of tickets through the last few months in terms of facilities, services and competitive prices offered by these offices compared with other airlines.[/ltr]
