    The governor of Basra, As'ad al-Eidani, announced the approval of Prime Minister Haider Abadi to resume work on strategic service projects in the province, while referring to the development of a plan aimed at collecting unlicensed weapons and restricted by the state.
    "The Prime Minister, during my reception in Baghdad, agreed to resume work on vital projects suspended in Basra, and excluded from Resolution 347 of 2015, on the treatment of ongoing investment budget projects," Al-Eidani said in a statement published by the official newspaper Al-Sabah. In order to provide the best services in all service sectors, especially water, health, schools, housing, agriculture and job creation in the governorate. "
    He added that "the Prime Minister stressed during the meeting on the importance of the completion of the security plan for the collection of weapons and inventory of the hand of the state, and the application of the law on violators and promoters of tribal conflicts in the province."
