Egypt selects 4 banks to market and manage euro bonds

The Egyptian Finance Ministry said in a statement on Monday that four international banks had been selected to market and manage the issuance of international bonds in euros in the fiscal year 2017-2018. The four banks are Deutsche Bank, BNP Paribas, Alexandria São Paulo and Standard Chartered, the ministry said. Egypt expects to raise between 1 billion and 1.5 billion euros in bonds next April. "The new bonds are part of the Ministry of Finance's efforts to complete the country's funding needs for the fiscal year 2017-2018," the ministry said. It will also use the services of the office of local legal counsel Tamimi and his associates and the Office of International Legal Advisor Decret, who have already participated in the US $ 4 billion dollar bond issue issued in February. |
