Washington: We do not support any party or person in the upcoming Iraqi elections
"The United States does not support any party, party or person at the expense of others in the upcoming elections," US Ambassador to Iraq Douglas Silliman said Tuesday.
"The new government should work on the principle of private investment in persuading Arab and foreign investors to invest in Iraq to rebuild the liberated areas that need a lot of funding and that the Iraqi treasury needs external support to meet the requirements," he told a round table held by Iraqi women journalists on the occasion of the Women's Day.
