    The Turkish and Syrian armies launched a military operation to control Tel Refa'at, northern Syria, Turkish media reported on Tuesday. 
    Syrian opposition sources reported that the Russian military police had begun withdrawing from Tall Rifat as Turkish forces began to take control of the area. 
    The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said reliable sources said that a meeting was held in the northern countryside of Aleppo between the Turks and the Russians, led to an agreement to hand over the town of Tal Rifat and surrounding villages under the control of the Kurdish People's Protection Units to the fighters of the olive branch. 
    He added that this agreement comes despite the presence of more than 50 thousand people in the town of Tel Refa'at who were displaced from the area of ​​Afrin, facing an unknown fate after the agreement.
    The observatory pointed out that the information and its link to the existence of an agreed Russian-Turkish plan to implement a demographic change based on the resettlement of other residents in the area of ​​Afrin instead of the indigenous people who fled and those who are roaming the countryside in the north of Aleppo, and the Turkish occupation forces controlling the region, Securing ways to return parents for fear of the lives of returnees from the explosion of mines. 
    There is no official announcement of the operation so far, although Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Sunday that the city of Tel Refaat will be the next target of the Turkish military operation after the control of Afrin, the north of the country. 
    "The terrorists fled from Afrin to Sinjar," he said. "We will follow them there, where operations have begun." 
    The Turkish army announced on Saturday full control of the city of Afrin after it began on January 20 a military campaign to expel the Kurdish fighters.
