Secretary General of the Council of Ministers Mahdi Al-Alaq discussed on Monday with a British political delegation a number of political, economic and security files.
"This morning, in his office in Baghdad, a British political delegation headed by Baroness Joyce St Johns met to discuss a number of important files," a press statement to the Secretariat said.
The statement added that the two sides also discussed "the government's efforts to combat corruption and control the slack in operating expenses, in conjunction with the decrease in the Oil prices in 2014 until 2016 ".
