Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi said on Monday that our air force is pursuing terrorists outside the border.
This came in a statement of his office, congratulating Abadi, the leadership and personnel of the Iraqi Air Force, the eighty-seventh anniversary of its founding.

"I extend my warmest greetings and congratulations to the leadership and staff of the Air Force," Abbadi said in the statement. "The arm, which was a support and a key partner in the victory that was achieved, had a long hand in defeating terrorism and providing air cover for our military units."

Al-Abbadi added that while we remember this happy occasion for the Iraqis, we recall with it the heroic positions and the great sacrifices they made, and thanks to them, our cities have returned and the security and stability of our beloved country have been restored.

F16 Iraqi fighter jets launched raids on state-run sites in Syria on Thursday, according to a government statement.

"The air force is pursuing today terrorists and striking them out of the border to secure the country from their evils and schemes," he said.

Abadi continued, "The Air Force will remain a pride and pride for all Iraqis, for what he offered and presented by the championships dazzled the world and returned to our air force prestige and prestige."
