South Korea's defense ministry has suspended propaganda on the border with North Korea from Monday to create a peaceful atmosphere for the first inter-Korean summit in 10 years, the defense ministry said.
This is the first time in more than two years that propaganda has stopped.
The publicity stopped in mid-2015 and came back in January 2016 after North Korea's fourth nuclear test.
"As of today, we have stopped broadcasting via loudspeakers to ease military tensions and create a climate of peace ... before the two Koreas summit," the South Korean Defense Ministry said in a statement.
North Korea on Saturday unveiled its nuclear and missile tests and shut down its nuclear testing site, which was welcomed by US President Donald Trump, who is due to meet North Korean leader Kim Jong-un soon.
"As of April 21, North Korea will suspend nuclear tests and launch intercontinental ballistic missiles," Kim said, according to the official North Korean news agency.
