Oil expert Hamza al-Jawahri said on Sunday that the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) controls the global oil situation despite US threats.
"America has the largest strategic oil reserves in the world and is more than 430 million barrels, which gives it the power to affect oil prices in terms of both high and low," Jawahri said in a statement.
"The Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) and the free producers have agreed to reduce production in order to drain the surplus oil and restore control of the world oil situation, which has brought the price of a barrel of oil to more than $ 70 a barrel."
Al-Jawahiri said that "America can reduce the price of a barrel of oil, but that does not mean its control of the oil market," indicating that America is working to sell oil stockpile, causing a drop in the price of a barrel of oil, and then return to buy oil at the drop, Open to all and reap huge sums of money. "
