The Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers Mehdi Alalak on Monday received the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany Cyril Nan.
The Secretariat said in a press statement that the two sides discussed several files, notably Siemens loans to finance electricity projects and other sectors, and facilitate the granting of entry features to the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) to implement programs to stabilize the areas restored.
The meeting also dealt with laying the main points of the agenda of the joint meeting of the Civil Crisis Management Unit to restore stability. It is hoped that next July, Iraq will face a new phase in which it seeks to achieve permanent stability, improve economic structures and improve the service and living conditions of the citizens.
He added that the relationship is the price of the role of Germany in providing support for Iraq, pointing out that the relations between the two countries are at a distinct stage and that Iraq is keen to develop them to a wider perspective.
