"The Iraqi people are eager to strengthen the relationship, With Saudi Arabia and always seeks to strengthen Arab cooperation and unity of the Arab ranks as a guarantee to meet the challenges facing the Arab nation in its present and future.
Al-Lami pointed out that the Saudi press delegation that recently visited Baghdad touched on the extent to which the Iraqis love their brothers in Saudi Arabia and that the spirit of the Arab brothers is applied in the veins to restore the Arab cohesion again.
Al-Lami reiterated the readiness of the Union of Arab Journalists to cooperate with every Arab effort aimed at strengthening the spirit of the Arab media honor code, which was recently signed by the Arab Information Ministers, and that the Union headed by Al-Lami looks forward to this Arab unity which augurs well for the future of this nation.
For his part, Saudi Minister of Culture and Information Awad bin Saleh Al-Awad stressed that Saudi Arabia will continue to exert every effort to promote the spirit of love among the Arab brothers because it is well aware that it is the best way to overcome the plight of Arab reality in our current situation.
The Saudi Information Minister stressed that the Palestinian issue will remain the cause of the first and fundamental Arabs, regardless of the magnitude of the challenges. The support of the Palestinian people for the restoration of their rights will remain a popular demand for all Arabs.
Al-Awwad pointed out that Saudi Arabia is considering the choice of Arab information ministers to the city of Riyadh as the capital of the Arab media 2018/2019, a new responsibility that should be invested in a more effective work to build bridges of cooperation between all Arabs, and this is what Saudi Arabia seeks with all its efforts and capabilities.
