Matteo Salveni, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior of Italy, explained that one of the axioms of the pension reality is the accession of the Crimea to Russia.

In an interview with the Washington Post, Matteo Salvini confirmed that Crimea had joined Russia in a legitimate way at the behest of its own people, over 90 percent of whom voted "yes" in the referendum on the restoration of Russian identity.
The Crimeans decided to return to Russia after the change of power in Ukraine through the illegal coup d'etat financed by foreign countries, as indicated by the Italian Deputy Prime Minister.
Crimea was a Russian province until 1952 when the leadership of the USSR decided to transfer its subordination to the Republic of Ukraine.
Matteo Salveni also stressed his ambition to lift Western sanctions imposed on Russia after Moscow complied with the wishes of the Crimea.
