The head of the parliamentary legal committee Mohsen al-Saadoun, Saturday, the resort of Prime Minister Haider Abadi to challenge the legality of the retirement of deputies "political targeting," noting that the law began months without objection by any party .
Al-Saadoun said in a statement to Al-Maaloumah that "the resort of Prime Minister Haider Abadi at this time to the Federal Court in order to challenge the law of the House of Representatives is a political target ."
He added that "the law started months ago and take all the constitutional ways including the ratification of the Presidency of the Republic and published in the official newspaper facts did not object to any political bloc or the three presidencies, while the objection came because of coinciding with the demonstrations and the situation of the country .
Al-Saadoun said that "the objection to the law is not feasible because the law began within the rules of procedure of the parliament," noting that "awarding a salary to the former deputy does not cost the state budget any amount that the money spent is deducted from the salaries of MPs during their service in parliament ."
He pointed out that "the law includes several paragraphs more important than the pension, including accounting of absentee MPs and determine the conditions of interrogations and materials and the rules of procedure of the parliament." Ending / 25 d
