    Baghdad and Damascus discuss the opening of the border crossings between them


    The political and media adviser to the Syrian President Buthaina Shaaban, on Monday, the need to open border crossings with Iraq because of its direct impact on relations and trade and economic exchange.
    "The Iraqi ambassador to Damascus, Saad Mohamed Reza, met with the political and media advisor to the Syrian president Buthaina Shaaban and reviewed the relations between the two countries and issues of mutual concern and developments on the Syrian and international levels," a foreign ministry statement said.
    The ambassador said that "Iraq supports the issues related to the Syrian Arab Republic in regional and international forums, stressing that Iraq and Syria face a common threat of terrorism."
    For her part, Shaaban praised the relations between the two countries, stressing the need to open the border crossings between them because of its direct impact on relations and trade and economic exchange between the parties.

    BAGHDAD / Syrian President Bashar al-Assad on Monday stressed the need to open border crossings between Syria and Iraq.
    "The Iraqi ambassador to Damascus, Saad Mohamed Reza, met with the political and media advisor to Syrian President Buthaina Shaaban, and reviewed the bilateral relations between the two countries and issues of common concern and developments on the Syrian and international levels," the statement said.
    Ambassador Reza noted that "Iraq supports the issues related to the Syrian Arab Republic in regional and international forums," stressing that "Iraq and Syria face a common danger represented by terrorism."
    For her part , she praised Shaaban "relations between the two countries, and stressed the need to open the border crossings between them because of its direct impact on the relations of trade and economic exchanges between the two parties" .anthy 1
