North Korea is the Bungi-ri nuclear testing site for the UN inspectors, the South Korean Yonhap news agency reported Wednesday, quoting South Korean intelligence.
Although Pyongyang has stopped its nuclear and missile tests over the past year, it did not allow international inspections of the dismantling of the Bungi-ri site in May, prompting criticism that the move was merely a review and reversible.
South Korean President Mon Jie-nen said the North had agreed to allow international inspectors to monitor "permanent dismantling" of important missile installations and take other steps, such as shutting down the Yongbyon nuclear complex in return for reciprocal action from the United States.
His remarks came in September after a summit with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un.
