Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) -MP Ali Shubar of the Citizen Bloc described the call to move the demonstrations from the provinces to Baghdad as political targeting and an attempt to abort the government through creating chaos and tensions.
Shubar said in a statement received by IraqiNews.com “Iraq’s interest necessitates avoiding mobilizing the protests in one place especially since the country lives unstable security and terrorist activities in addition to the fears over unpleasant reactions.”
“We are concerned towards exploiting these demonstrations if moved to Baghdad by certain sides which seek to create problems and sectarian strife,” he added stressing “We call the Government to provide security for these demonstrations and meet the legitimate among their demands.”
