{Baghdad: Al Furat News} The General Traffic Directorate clarified the process of opening roads in the Green Zone, as revealed a decision on the traffic lights in the streets and public intersections.
The director of the Information Directorate in the General Traffic Brigadier Ammar Walid told the {Euphrates News} that "a lot of talk about the opening of roads in the Green Zone and the reasons for postponing it," adding that "lifting barriers and concrete blocks is good news for the near opening of the road."
He added that "the preparations began from the exit of the olive tunnel returns to the unknown soldier was completed and the lifting of these blocks and the exit from the tunnel of olives in the yard Snour to the unknown soldier on the road Qadisiyah was also lifted blocks, as was evocations at the intersection of Damascus going and back and down the suspension bridge" .

"It was agreed at a meeting held in the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers that the Minister of Electricity to exclude the optical signals from the programmed segments, and was issued a decision; but the Ministry of Electricity did not give any exception because of privatization.
"It is now agreed to return to the old sources to connect the traffic signal devices," Al-Afili said
