    The Electoral Commission announced on Sunday that the members of the Board of Commissioners discussed with the representative of the religious authority, Abdul Mahdi al-Karbalai, the Council's efforts to install the staff of the registration centers are not fixed. 

    "Sheikh Abdul Mahdi al-Karbalai, representative of the supreme religious authority, Sayyed Ali al-Sistani, met with the Commission of Commissioners of the Independent High Electoral Commission on Saturday in the holy city of Karbala," the UNHCR said in a statement received by Alsumaria News.




    The statement added that "during the meeting dealt with the large tasks carried out by the Commission during the last period and the administration and organization of the elections of the House of Representatives, which took place on the 12 of last May and the organization achieved for this benefit in spite of the difficult circumstances in Iraq, The senior reference and its representatives in urging voters to go to the registration centers during the opening of voter registration centers and also the great role played by the reference in urging voters to participate in the elections.

    He continued, "The Chairman and members of the delegation of the Commission explained the mechanisms followed by the Commission and the use of modern electronic technology, which contributed to the success of the elections and the results produced by the plans for the distribution of electronic voter card and voter registration Pyometria, which was announced on the 18 of last November, During which the distribution of electronic cards to voters who did not receive their cards as well as opening the electronic registration of biometric registrars.

    He pointed out that "the efforts exerted by the Council in stabilizing the staff of the non-permanent registration centers and the constant movement of the staff were taken into consideration in order to find solutions and stabilize them after obtaining the necessary grades from the relevant bodies." Which gained and contributed to the management and organization of electoral processes with pure Iraqi hands and it represents great steps towards relying on Iraqi experience. "
