The Parliamentary Legal Committee announced, on Monday, that EKAL will be tasked with selecting the five new commissioners from the judges to the Supreme Judicial Council, indicating that the two members of the State Consultative Council will be nominated by the next government.
Member of the Legal Committee, Salim Hamza, said to "Al-Maalouma", "Parliament has accomplished its mission of approving the new UNHCR law and outlined its features, pending the selection of members of the Board of Commissioners."
He added that "the Supreme Judicial Council was appointed to nominate the names of judges to the Board of Commissioners and to draw lots among them to choose five and send them to the House of Representatives to vote on them."
He explained that "according to the new law of the commission, there will be two members from the State Shura Council," noting that "their nomination will be by the new government." Ended 25 and
