    Qatar and Iraq are opening new channels to boost economic cooperation and increase trade and investment between the two countries, a Qatari newspaper reported on Thursday.
    The newspaper "New Arab" a senior official in the Secretariat of the Council of Ministers as saying, "The Baghdad government and based on the visit of Iraqi President Barham Saleh to Doha, last weekend, instructed the formation of a high committee of several ministries in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Qatar, in the economic and commercial fields. "
    "Baghdad trusts in Doha's recent promises to help Iraqis rebuild destroyed cities," the official said. "The joint ministerial committee also aims to activate previous memorandums of understanding."
