Follow - up / ... the oldest young Iraqi student to commit suicide in a detention center for asylum seekers in Australia, after undergoing a trial session, on the back of his sense of "anxiety and fear" of deportation as a result of the strict Australian laws that prevent survival.
According to Australian radio, the 24-year-old Jabri was born before the Borowood District Court in the morning on charges of assault and quarrel, proving his innocence, indicating that he had been returned to Villawood, where his detained colleagues reported having met a state official before returning. To his room, to find him dead body after.
"The victim on court day was not very happy, and he was worried and afraid of being deported," one of the Villawood detainees, who did not want to be named, told SPS.
A spokesman for the Australian Border Force said that "the death was referred to the investigation by the criminal investigation judge in New South Wales and other relevant agencies," explaining that "all detainees there receive appropriate health and mental health care."
He expressed his condolences to the family of Milad and his friends, adding that "this issue is subject to a current investigation, and it would not be appropriate to comment more."
Australian authorities have earlier deported an Iraqi asylum seeker against his will, despite threatening to harm himself with a razor blade.
Australia's immigration laws are the worst in the world, and they categorically refuse to accept asylum seekers who go through smuggling and detain them in remote islands amid extremely difficult humanitarian conditions. Australian authorities warn of "an arduous journey that leads to the death of many and the capture and detention of survivors "
