The German minister pointed to his country's knowledge of the difficult economic situation in Jordan.
"We are aware of the difficult economic situation in Jordan and we are well aware of this," Mas said in an interview with his Jordanian counterpart Ayman Safadi in the Jordanian capital Amman. "We are therefore happy to continue Jordan in common with the International Monetary Fund in a very courageous way.
"Germany is helping Jordan in this way by granting an unconditional US $ 100 million financial loan."
For his part, Safadi said that "Germany is the second largest strategic donor to the Kingdom and there is cooperation in all aspects between the two countries," stressing that "cooperation and consultation between the Kingdom and Germany continues."
Safadi pointed out that "today's meeting was an opportunity not only to strengthen bilateral relations but also to communicate continuously about the problems facing the region."
He also pointed out that "the Palestinian issue was at the forefront of what we discussed and we and Germany agree that the two-state solution is the only way to resolve the conflict."
On the regional crises, Safadi said that the two countries "agree on the need to intensify efforts to resolve the crisis in Syria and resolve the regional crises on the basis of dialogue and on the basis of regional relations based on the principle of good neighborliness and non-interference in the affairs of the internal states.
Safadi added that "we and Germany are starting from the same principles that aim at development and solving the region's issues such as the issue of the Syrian refugees and we stress our appreciation for Germany's efforts in our appreciation of the support provided by Germany to the Kingdom in its efforts to meet the needs of one million and three hundred thousand Syrian brothers living in Jordan despite the difficult economic conditions in the Kingdom" .
"The talks focused on the situation in the Middle East and the current changes," the German foreign minister said.
"We are betting on Jordan's assessment of the situation because of Jordan's balanced role in the region and for us the Jordanian role is very important and we respect and appreciate Jordan's constructive and continuous role."
